Tarantulas are one of the few things I really wouldn't want to get bit by, the size of the chelicerae is scary. I've been hit by a Bullet ant, once, Brown Recluse, 3 times, scorpion 4 times. The most insanely painfull was the Bullet ant, the recluse was most problematic & the longest lasting...

It's marjoram, but it's in the oregano family. I'll post some pics later of oregano & marjoram. It's funny that it's called "Cuban oregano" all the latinos I know call it oregano, depending which one you're talking about the other one is always, "the other oregano"

    To blend or...

not to blend? Sometimes I throw everything in the blender. When I'm feeling lazy & don't want to wash the blender or I'm in the mood for chunky hot sauce I just chop every thing, that makes for a deadly bite every so often. What's your preference?

You aren't kidding about the Fer-de-lance, I see them quite often, at my farms. It's the only species that I ever encountered, that is blatantly aggressive, one of the few snakes that will come after you instead of trying to flee.

Nice stuff! I think your oregano is marjoram, the Cuban oregano for sure, not sure about the variagated & couldn't get a good look at the Italian. True oregano does not have succulent type leaves.
