Found some differences in the individual Kiss of the Raven seedlings.
Some have lancet shaped leaves and others have more heart shaped leaves.
Curious to see how they will develop over time.
Being a cross between Jalapeno and Pequin some genetics from both may turn up. Growing a lot of...
Commercially grown jalapenos are a disgrace. I don't really mind that they selected the heat out of them (plenty other options for that) but in this process they also made the flavor disappear and it's exactly that unique flavor that makes a good jalapeno in my opinion.
Will be growing a lot of...
First flowers on the Cayenne, Padron and the Chilhuacle amarillo
Some variegation on the jalapeno El Jefe. Last time i grew them was two years ago and i had variegation on all plants.
Looking forward to you're grow this year! Adjuma still is my favourite Chinense (tastewise) and those Habanadas are delicious!
Hope you're surgery goes well! I wish you a speedy recovery!
No Marc... it's a crazy amount of seedlings! 😁
It seems i'm not able to control myself when it comes to peppers.
Just imagine all the pepper processing later this year! 😵💫
I'm looking for that classic Jalapeno taste even when green. Heat doesn't matter so much (plenty of other peppers that provide that for me)

Most modern crosses i tried are great producers and strong healthy...

I also have...
Transplanted the last batch of seedlings. Growcloset is filled up completely.
In total 108 chileplants this year, predominantly annuum varieties.
For the Chinense: one Yaki blue fawn and one 7 pot yellow germinated (Bhut Jolokia didn't germinate at all)
The Kukulkan germinated great and i kept...
Never grew it, but the original variety registration was done by BASF A.S. Nunhem.
So it's no ordinary backyard cross, some serious scientific breeding made this variety.
Don't know how it has developed since the original F1 seeds distributed by the above company ofcourse.
They look yummie...
Transplanted 72 seedlings about a week ago. Overall i had some decent germination rates.
d'Espelette and Peppacream failed to germinate completely and up till yesterday none of the Chinense germinated.
They took their sweet time, but it seems they will germinate after all.
Here are my little...
