Late to the party this year!

Hiya guys,    I have been around here for some years, but haven't put much effort into chilli for a while.   A lot of my (UK) chilli communities from years' gone by seem to have dwindled away, maybe they are in here?  The guys I've known from fora like this tend to have their finger on the...

    pH

Another thread that has been posted many times before..... I did a pH test on my pots, reckon it a neutral 7, which makes sense as they receive mainly tap water. So I figure it would be good to drop the pH 1 notch to make it a tad more acidic. pH 6 is the ideal no? I have upward leaf curl on...

    Upward Leaf Curl

I know there are a million threads on leaf curl, and I have read them, I am getting a little concerned now though. The pic below is of my Aji Norteno, it was the only one that was curling. Its not so bad as you can see, and I thought since its just that one species no big deal. Over the last...

    Plastic cups

Ive been using clear plastic cups, just because they were readily available for theft from a water cooler. Thought it pretty cool that I can see the root ball forming which lets me know when to pot on. No problems as yet.

    Crinkled Leaves and Dropping Flowers

I have similar, though not as bad on around a third of my plants. Have also read that some calcium could do the trick. Any tips on how to add some calcium? Also, some plants have this effect that have been treated exactly the same as those that look OK. What is that about?

PLANTS DOING GREAT NOW YELLOWING BAD PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I have similar symptoms as those pics in some of my plants. Bit of yellowing, curling and some looking crispy and brown. I doubt very much they are root bound as they are still medium seedlings and no roots coming through the bottom of the plastic coffee cups yet. Also, it seems my taller (more...

    Wunder's 2010 Log

The larger Bolivian Rainbow on the left was planted into soil 4 days after the smaller one on the right, that was put into those pellet things. Lack of nutes in the pellets? My superhots. Thanks for looking, I have a few queries: A lot of the seedlings dont look green enough, what do you...

    Wunder's 2010 Log

Just a customary update and a few questions.... Popped them out of the prop and into small pots a couple of weeks ago. Liked how they popped out of that prop in little plugs. Balcony in the daytime..... Growbox after sunset. These Scotch Bonnets were planted at exactly the same time and...

    media Jiffy Pellets (Kinda)

They only have there seed leaves, all the way up to them then, id usually wait until they are larger. I guess I could plant them low ish in the pot (plastic coffee cup) so when they grow taller I could add compost?

    media Jiffy Pellets (Kinda)

Im quite pleased that a root has appeared from the bottom of the plug in most of my seedlings, most of which are my superhots. Does that mean its time to pot on? Its moist in there but they are not sitting in water, but they are not sitting in anything at all either. Also, should i put the...

Ahh, I didnt think the April sun in the UK was to be feared. They have been in the same sun but on the windowsill, was a bright day today though. Well at least I know what it is now, thanks for that guys, never considered that. That is the prognosis? Do they recover or just drop off?

Hmm, they were outside in direct sun for around 6 hours today? They are rarely out there but this morning was really bright so thought id make the most of it. Seedlings especially vulnerable to sun then?

Now, EVERYONE PANIC!!!!!!! WTF is going on here?! Its not present in the pic above, taken just 24 hours ago. Looks like the yellowy bits are going crispy and ready to drop off. That is like a quarter of there proper leaves right there, can't be good. Only things i can think of is they have...

Got some yellowing leaves on one of my older plants, any suggestion on what that is about? Treated the same as the rest and they have no yellowing. Can anyone shed some light on the Epsom salts thing? I know its a feed of magnesium, but when is it needed, when I fertilise with NPK? Is quite...

Here is the progress about 40 days after planting, some of them are leaning all over the place, may resort to a cocktail stick splint if need be, but all will be potted up in the next 2 weeks I reckon. In there are: 6x Serrano, 3x Jalapeño, 3x Chezno, 4x Red Pyramid, 4x Numex Twilight, 4x...
