They are looking pretty good. Just had a bunch of Bhut jolokia seedlings die on me. I think i might put seed raising on hold until spring rolls around as it is early winter here.

Hi i just checked one of my jolokia seeds and it seems it has sprouted, but i also planted a seed from a packet that was given to me in the same container and i have no idea where it came from. The question is, could the sprout below be a pepper plant or just a weed as i was using garden soil...

Thats pretty much bang on :). Yep you can use all the specialist equipment but unless your some kind of Chilli supplier i dont thinks its really necessary

I use those little plastic screw top urine testing pots complimentary from the doctor.

Just wondering how many people pre-soak their seeds and how big of a difference it makes to germination rates ? I personally dont pre-soak my seeds but have been having trouble germinating seeds recently and wondering whether this would be worth a try. Thanks

Yeah i had experience with quite a few varietys of peppers but nothing ive ever come into contact with compares with the burn of a Bhut Jolokia. Theres a few places which are affected a bit worse than others though. The worst part is it gets stuck under your nails and gives you a bit of a wake...

I prefer milder peppers than the Bhut, have you ever enjoyed the flavour while drinking molten lava ?

Mmm some people get their kicks out of messing up wikipedia entrys. thechileman & this Forum are probably the best resources out there for your average pepper grower IMO.
