Some are dying off, I'm not fussing too much about it. I'm curious if any will survive the winter without the artificial lights.    

  I started them with standard jiffy trays you get in a hardware store in the US. Now they're in 2.5" pots.     Thanks! I think so too. I think the length of day and the weak light puts them into a quasi dormant state. I'd love to be able to just do this instead of fussing with all the lights...

Here's how my 100% natural light seedlings are looking. Nothing very exciting. Some are more etiolated than others, but they look OK. Maybe they'll turn out alright in the end. Time will tell.      

I've decided to try a little experiment this year. I'd like to find out if I could grow these with 100% natural light, have them survive, and get them get big enough to give me fruit in the summer. Here's how they look after potting them up today.

    Great list. One of my fav peppers was a Yellow Bhut I grew a few years ago. Somehow the saved seed didn't grow true and I lost that... good luck with yours!   *edit: LOL I just now noticed the date on your first post, I'll read through to see how they turned out

  Thanks for the compliment! I really liked the Impact Bhut, I have a few coming up now. If I don't mess things up, I should have some replenished seed stock to share after the season.

What an adventure! Good luck! Might I suggest growing a few Bhut Jolokia type peppers as well?

  I grew the galapa x chiltepin last season, the plant was huge like a tree and the fruit were pretty much what you would expect as a cross of those two varieties.  As for offspring from this, i.e. my new crosses, no fruit yet, just a few flowers on one of the 1/2 superhot to give me pollen...
