I live in the city I have compacted soil that may or may not have been exposed to chemical fertilizers in the past. I garden indoors and in a greenhouse with fairly clean soil mixes that are organic but bagged (not that much oxygen) sometimes I just use coir with perlite no microbial activity.
https://www.microbesalive.com/buy-garden-treasure/ looking into this product after seeing it on growing your greens YouTube channel. Also could you ship supreme growers simply silica or bud charger to Canada?
Or you can buy automatic vent arms put your fan/lights on a aqauarium/reptile timer with day/night settings and install a drip system on a timer and humidifier or shade cloth.
Has anyone tried Vegalabs? Steve B from Supreme Growers is now working with them I'm thinking about giving it a shot.

And if you need to you could run the humidifier, shade cloth and fans then switch over to HPS bulbs just like a grow tent maybe add some thermal mass (black rain barrels) and rock or sand floor. You can move plant's outside or in the house for the summer ;)
You can get shade cloth or inexpensive drip kits and mister heads on ebay I'm not sure what the humidity is like where you are but most places need to add humidity.
I was reading this months Maximum Yield http://maximumyield.com/ pages 116-117 and they talked about different varieties doing better under lights under a greenhouse and outside last year I grew a Butch T in my outer greenhouse under poly tunnel plastic because of lack of space and it did better...
