120 gal aquarium. To part, or not to part

I stuck with low level light plants, those fancy ones are too much trouble and need at least double the light.

My shrimp tank and kitchen tank have all low level. Anubis, a few micros ect. Shrimp tank needs a cleaning. I don't do anything with it other than feed and top off water... even that I do rather sparingly.

Tons of light glare from back door hard to see

For most part a planted tank can be set up pretty cheap. Check out the forums over at plantedtank.net for ideas, ads for plants ect. Might even stumble across a few of my old projects
I will take a look. But I am still in limbo about keeping or parting and am just waiting for that compelling reason to keep before sourcing any components.

One of these days when I can afford it i'm goind to do a inwall tank in the basement. But I need a better job before I can start finishing the basement again. So far all I got is a grow room

Priorities man lol.

You can always try listing it for a high price and if someone grabs it for more than you paid its a win win. But if you're going to take a loss then stew on setting it up.

I did that with a 30 gal when I was in S.Carolina. It was so nice that it was THE contingency in the sale of the house.
I did it facing the kitchen dining area.

Sorry, I have to disagree with that. I paid 350.00 new and it has never seen a drop of water and that was 10 years ago. around here you would not come close to a well used 120 tank for $100.00. Maybe a 55gal. maybe.
My hundred twenty gallon said seller , turn out to be 18×18×72 and my guess is 100 gallon

Hey ur pics do look familiar, I use to be a member there a long long time ago. Lol small world

And Capcom, I vote to keep the fish tank. For one, of course keeping fish but the other is that you can use it to grow peppers. I believe you can use it to grow several plants kratky style

Also here are some pictures to try to convince u to go freshwater style, my friends old 125 gal tank

Largemouth bass.

Do it!

I had a big tank when I was growing up (I want to say 100 gallon), and I put all kinds of game fish in there (little tiny ones) over the years. Largemouth bass and bullheads seemed to do the best. I think it's because they are more tolerant to higher water temps than the others. I had a couple bass for many years. They were a lot of fun.

I've been thinking about getting another (bigger) one and doing it again. I think it would be cool to put local/native plants, rocks, driftwood, and so on.

Well, it looks like I may be keeping the tank after all.  What is going to suck is, paying retail for the setup.
Thinking about doing a Takashi Amano / pt.scalare (Peruvian) setup.
