seeds 7 Pot Seedlings

Hi All

I have some 7 Pot seedlings sprouting. I got the seeds fron Trinni last year.

I sprouted a plant before winter and it died and i noticed something strange about the seedling.

The one thats just sprouted has the same curious feature.

It has 3 little first leaves. I dont know the thechnical name for them but you know what i mean........ the ones when they first sprout.

All my other peppers had 2.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal?

cheers

PS...... will post a pic if needed but no time right now with 14hr days at work

won't say its normal Tony, but I had several last year that had three...they grew fine...

A.J Said it all noticed on my scorpion and on my nipples(PLANT)

Did the first one grow to a good size????

If it died while it was still small then you haven't figured it out yet........

I swapped your 7 pot seeds for some clover seeds when you weren't looking..........Muwhahahahahahhahahah.

They're called "cotyledons" or seed leaves. It is some type of genetic abnormality, but it happens from time to time. Dicotyledons are types of plants that generally have 2 seed leaves, and peppers fall into that category.
