That's a good question. I can't stop coughing when I open one to get it close enough to my mouth. But the capsicum went through my latex gloves.

And yes it is producing seeds.

I don't think the Yellow ones have reached their final color - Red.

If they have, then you truly have an original plant - at least that's my experience.

The interesting thing is, the red ones don't start out yellow at all. When I get toward the end of the season and if there is another yellow one on then, I'll let it go longer to see if it turns out red.

The red ones start out orange. The yellow ones start out yellow. That's both from green of course.

Probably, I got the seeds from someone else last fall. You should see the inside of them. I'm not complaining.

okay -duh, the part about the plant next to it threw me off.

one of my barrackpore did something like dat.... but instead of yellow it appeared to be ripening a chocolatey color and ended up turning red anyways............ and the shapes of most of the pods look like the barrackpore 7's
