What's the soil temp?

We have had 28-39 degree Celcius days here in perth for the last 2 weeks the bhuts and chocolate bhuts havealmost jumped out of the ground but the 7's have been a no show.

my 7 pot seeds took about 10 days to sprout but I had them in seed raising mix in a mini green house set up with a set temp of 29C

Chinenses in general take quite a while when they're not getting the exact temp they should and/or get too much/little moisture. to be honest, I've seen seeds taking MONTHS.

something tells me AJ might have this exact info...
For Chinenses it's 28C~ and light moisture. you don't want to get them wet. basically the most common reason for late germination with Chinenses is over-doing it.

Yeah I agree I had a Naga Morich seedling that took 7 and a half a weeks.

True true.... Several different chinese of mine have taken any where between 2-10 weeks at times....its crazy with our range of temps and water usage here. One day its 26 the next 40...!:mouthonfire:

Wow..starting new plants so late? Do you think there's still time in the season for them to produce? - how did you go with your plants last winter? did they survive?

Hey mate, Last year I had great success with winter plants. i had my main harvest at the usual times and then a late one just before it got cold. I cover my important plants either in cloth or glad wrap (with ventelation) and trim them back in spring...Seems to work well.

You should join magoo and I for a beer at my place soon. you can sample some wrath of God (if your game).

whats wrong with planting now, as even the 120 days for chinese is May

lol im stil after seeds, and planting nearly everyday still and the sec some that are fruiting now ripen, Seeds be in so fast i wont have time to burn myself

wrath of god, wrath of god might go watch the vid of that for a laugh as remember wanting a face transplant that night as it burnt for Hrs after wiping face with the shirt it exploded on

im trying to get some Bacatuums as they Love the cool and go balistic approaching winter, so getting them in soon

I'll send you some of the pubescns I grow Neil they will love your climate.
Chinensis grow like weeds here in Brisbane. My sevens are doing real well. You can almost watch them grow in this humidity.

Hey hippe what ya after seed wise....drop me a pm I'll see if I can help. How many plants are you looking at having in the ground at the moment?
