$80 T5 4 bulb 4 ft fixture

I picked up some 6 tube T8's at HD for $82.86. The price of T5 vs.T8 bulbs is why I went with the T8's. Everything i read here seemed to point to the small increase going from T8's to T5's was not worth the increase in bulb price to me.

I like them so far. I can buy them in store and they've done good the last couple of years. I buy a box of 10 6500K bulbs for $33.97.
 
I bought two of the twin bulb 4' black T8 shop lights from Lowes for $14.95 each and mounted a strip of wood on the back of them and connected them together. Works great.
 
I was a little over zealous to get a good system and ended up dropping $150 on a 6 4 foot bulb T5 system through amazon. These would make a nice addition to what I have already for giving some side heat and light.
