Aji Limon, Lemon Drop, Hot Lemon

I am 90% sure that aji lemon and lemon drop are the same, but I am not sure about hot lemon.

Yes they grow very well in pots, I had one in a 12 inch pot last summer that yielded well over 100 peppers.

yep aji/lemon drop are the same...hot lemon is registiterd differently on chiliman..but both look the same on there,im growing both and the aji has differnt leaves to the hot lemon which seem a lot glossier no fruit yet so carnt compare for sure :)

This terrifically hot, citrus-flavored pepper is a popular seasoning pepper in Peru where it is known as 'Kellu Uchu'. It is also known in the western world as 'Hot lemon' or 'Lemon Drop'. The bright yellow, crinkled, cone-shaped fruits are about 2-1/2" long and 1/2" wide and mature from green to yellow approximately 100 days after transplanting (Long season) have less seeds than the average pepper, containing than 15 seeds on average. They plant is vine like typically reaching a height of about 3 ft. Like other baccatum species this pepper was practically unknown in the West until the early 1990s, but are now gaining wide scale popularity.

HOT LEMON

This is something very special! Hot Lemon produces 2.5inch long tapering chillies that ripen to a bright glossy yellow. The name doesn't come from the colour though - it comes from the wonderfully citrus-lemony aroma and taste. Great in any recipe where you want some extra fruity tang. Plants produce 2.5inch long tapering chiles that ripen to a bright glossy yellow.

I am growing Aji Lemon and Lemon Drop plants from different sources.

Both are producing. It seems the Lemon Drop is a longer pod than the Aji Lemon and has a different shape. The lemon drop is longer and thinner than the Aji Lemon and the Aji Lemons are producing more peppers at this point in time than the Lemon Drops are. I hesitate to make a determination on whether the plants I am growing are the same or not. I will hold off on a decision until both have ripe fruit at the same time then photo both plants for a side by side comparison.

Aji lemon drop is likely the same as hot lemon and lemon drop but I think it's different than the Aji limon

Something else I noticed this mornign before I left for work was the leaves on the plants...the leaves on the Aji Limon are pointier (is that a word?) than the broader Lemon Drop leaves leading me to agree with Potawie on the delta between the two plants.

Thanks for the pics I was curious on how they grew as mine are starting upward and more yellow --
Do the Fatelli and Lemon drop look similar, pod wise, when small? the leaves are very much different but I notice the pods are similar in their infancy stage
