AJs Trinidad Scorpion Puree

I am thinking about going commercial with my Trinidad Scorpion puree. At first there will be a limited run of this. For those of you that have had it, it will be the same recipe.

It is expensive, lordy lordy, to get all the up front testing done and takes quite a while for the process to complete...about 6 weeks...and it will be more expensive than last year because of this...figure $15-18 for 8-9 ounces....soooo...I am just testing the waters to try and determine the interest level...

Any feedback will be deeply appreciated...I am meeting with the copacker next week to discuss the details...

After reading all the posts about your famous puree, I definitely want to get in line early for a couple bottles at least...and probably a couple more if they're available.
 
Hi AJ, does that 15-18 bux include shipping? Just for a size reference for everyone, here is how much 8-9oz is as i was wondering how much it would be. Not bad.

probably does not include shipping...the shipping if you go priority will be 10.50 minimum...medium flat rate box...but you can put several...seems like 8 or 9 in a medium box and 12 or 13 in a large flatrate box (14.50)

don't really quote me on the price since I have not even met with the copacker yet...

if you know what an 8 ounce jelly jar looks like...that is about the volume each will have...and I know you know what 5 ounce coozies look like so these will contain at least 60% more...
 
That stuff is GOLD AJ. A little bit goes a looooong way. I'd be up for a jar. Knowing Jay's taste for the stuff I reckon he would too.
 
AJ, I am up for a couple bottles of it. Since I am just down the road from you(denton)I would not be opposed to just picking it up instead of shipping, assuming that is ok with you of course.

cool...the real product won't show up until probably late September/October...maybe even into November...

by the way...I just did the math...there is right at 150 gms of pepper in each 8 ounces....so that works out to about 20-22 pods...
 
AJ, use the flat rate when you're shipping over two pounds, other wise just go with USPS Priority shipping. I use it all the time and can ship over one pound to any place in the U.S. for under $6. Up to two pounds for under $8.50. You can also get all of your Priority boxes and packing tape for free plus they'll deliver it to your door for free. Just go to the USPS web site and click on shipping supplies.

AJ, I am one of your biggest fans. The 4 jars of purees I got from you last year were the best superhot products I've ever had. I am currently still on my last jar (Naga Morich). I will buy more from you, but to be honest, the price will be a factor in how many I get. I understand why you have to charge more (copacker and all the legal business stuff). I wanted to get at least 10 jars if you made any more, but now I will probably get 4 or 5. This is a must have item. Thank you for what you do.
 
AJ's purees are most excellent! probably worth more than he's asking.
I say go with it! don't have a single dime in my pocket, but will buy one!

Ann...I agree that a little goes a long way...a looooonnnngggg way...and smaller units may be the desired way to go...
