Time to get the 2017 Glog started.
 
I am cutting back this year, probably 50 or less plants.

~32° tonight, then between 40°-60° for lows the next seven days. If the plants survive tonight, I may get another hundred or so pods before the real hard freeze comes.

One question - I couldn't tell from your pics, do you slice your pods before putting in the dryer?
I usually de-seed and cut in half to speed up the drying time.  Whole pods take so long.  I
usually try to dry at lower temps (100-120˚F) to conserve the beautiful colors and make
really nice, brightly colored grinds. I then separate the flakes and fine powder
into separate jars.
 
Congratulations on a really nice grow, Al.  Really enjoyed your arrays of pods on the dryer racks!

Not bad year at all, but actually, last year was better, quantity-wise.
 
I dry pods whole, otherwise the fumes can be rather intense.
 
I dry at 145°F to 155°F, and the colors do not seem to fade all that much. It usually takes one or two days, depending on the pod.

To be honest, I post the pics of the dryer racks to help me remember what pod was what.
