American Pickers in Twisp/Winthrop

Ever seen that show American Pickers? I have, once or twice.
Well they were here in the Methow Valley over the summer,
and the episode 'Dial F for Fritz' airs December 10th on the History Channel.

As far as I know, I am not in it but hey, one never knows.
I know they hit The White Buck Trading Co., a tourist money trap/museum in Winthrop (7 mikes from Twisp up-valley), and they probably talk to a couple locals who I may or may not know. Hopefully they will put ol Hank Rogers on air, our local Dirt Farmer.

Check it out, at least you'll get to see our little Holler.

Well, they may see Winthrop on te TV show, but they won't see The Methow......


I saw the blurb in the newspaper when the visit happened. Thanks for posting when the episode will air.
 
Tell them to come over here, I'll show them what a real American picker is: does my finger smell funny?
 
I will be watching to see if they find some ancient artifacts in the hole in Scovies backyard that once occupied his septic tank.
 
Nothin there but, empty hhwiskey bottles, cigarette butts, dead smoker chips, and a metric ton of egg shells.
 
Oh wow!!! That's awesome! That show is pretty cool. I am sure whoever they 'pick' you guys know. Since what's the population over there like 25??? :lol:

Worked with some American pickers in the general area in the 70's.



Mostly Mexican and Gypsies, but some americans. :shh:

I haven't been watching that show this year, but I will tonight. Probably. Well, depends on how many more of these I have...

I just saw a preview and my buddy Greg is on there. He is wearing a Blue shirt and a Black cowboy hat.
I will now start calling him Mr. Hollywood. :rofl:
