5 peppers got an entire 6 pack; otherwise divided into 3 (half 6-p: yes; 6/2 = 3 [hotdamn am tired]) and will prick out. Entire 6: 1. BOC (Jason/GA Growhead) 2. MoA (but another half-6 of that from Walkgood/Ramon and Steve); 3. Tabasco (mine) 4. Bahamian Goat (Greg PIC1), and 5. JA Hab (Ramon/Walkgood)

Many thanks to Mike Rote/Barley_Pop for jerky   :drooling:  and Jason/GA Growhead, for sending me my own Orange Thai seed and the hottest damn powder I've ever had! :onfire: Also, thank you, John, Ark/Saw for the Harbor Freight coupons for "torch to burn honeysuckle roots." And everybody who has, via PM or otherwise, encouraged, offered ideas on new, additional growing space: fence is gone and if no rain, fell, limb, buck and split with two splitters 8 big trees, Maple, 4 Hickories, Pecan, Black Walnut, Poplar NEXT WEEKEND!

Also, would like ideas on that new (additional) space (100'+ x 50')  with stumps, most are to side except Maple. 1. burn 2. grind (cost prohibitive and don't think rented grinder would get it but might if ya'll have any ideas) 3. Work around them this year . . . raised beds, ugh, the work or level with huge dump truck topsoil. And again, work around what's left of stumps. Rip it in Feb. REALLY rich humus in half that on the "lots of trees" side: 25' x 100'+. Also, high side. Have considered dozer/bucket end of my and cousin's tractor just to help level and "share the wealth" of humus.

Hope everybody has kick-butt 2014 GROW! :fireball:

Hiya, Penny! How's green-green land to north? Need to check out your glog if my "new elevation at desktop method" holds; (am getting good at unintentional yoga). Yeah: "bones." Thank you, dear!

Dayum! That's no fun.
Least you're still alive and almost well. Barefoot is good.
I've about give up on shoes except the Merrel Trail Glove.
And despite the class action,FiveFingers fixed my PF in two weeks
After a year of suffering. Buy they wouldn't fix everyfoot. Obviously.
Just take it easy. Get you some binoculars to watch the garden.

Trip J! I think I'm "almost well," but then I'm still in that "window of fast healing." May it never leave! Half+ of aging might be in heart-mind, ya know? (Sometimes felt in back, doubling size that garden, ha! . . .) Good that the successfully sued but successful for some, Vibe5, healed PF for you. Friends with PF say it's horrible, but they wear clunkers that can't make it better, or haven't so far because docs and podiatrists make money off keeping us sick. Not all, but it's a profit, not health, market. (Podiatrists behind that Vibe5 attack. I'm just shocked.)

I already have well-used binoculars. Now, want some that take photos/film. "Calling DOD." Wish my bro would give up his ornithologist Hasselblad film/camera. But given what it cost (about what some houses do) and he's a Scoutmaster . . . I suppose I see his point in denying me that.  I told him that God "loves a cheerful giver" but went nowhere. Have you seen those things?  GREAT film/cameras!

Sorry about the tumble, broken bones are no fun!

Please let it heal, you're about 3-4 weeks from weight bearing. Here that pot? Or are you the kettle? LOL.

Glad you're on the mend and OK

Take care hon.

Aw, Pot! You sound like my PT guy. He was impressed with healing until told him went to g-store. Then got mad at me. I do have MA in Shrinkology so diversion works GREAT. "Bet you didn't know Marlon Brando did his own singing in Guys and Dolls and that he and Sinatra hated each other. Now, Sinatra could pull off "Old Man River" when only Paul Robeson nailed it and Judy Garland could make us believe that impossible but amazing song. And did you know who saved Monty Clift's life during the filming of Raintree County after he left his co-star's house? Liz Taylor. And she kept the paparazzi from his busted face, which he only showed one side of after that and The Clash wrote "The Right Profile" in tribute and in mockery vis a vis how we turn stars into pariah relative to external beauty on London Calling?" (Did that with one breath.) So he shut up.

I was actually explaining to him what I'd done over last month: returning to old film via Netflix, TCM, DVD and old albums! Which, when ya can't move (not really) and get tired of reading--re-read/re-studied Julia Kristeva's Desire in Language (shows desperation)--that I HAVE been a "good girl" and have done what they said to do. Scotty, we'll be active--if not physically--mentally, emotionally so these dingbats who, yes, do their jobs but are "uni-faceted" missed the relationship between Joe Ely and Joe Strummer (tragically, unwittingly encouraging "New Country" :banghead:  ) have to get an education from somebody.

Be well, Scott! Thank you, Pot!

Very cool that you've got lotsa Gochus podding up, but I'm really not surprised. :)  How many did you end up planting? I managed to get about a kilo of powder out of 10 plants, but your season is a bit longer than mine, so you might do better. Cheers!

Just 4, Rick but they are some bearing plants! I'm not getting 2 lbs. powder w/ 4, but Gochu's so versatile. Planted some Aleppo and Urfa Biber, too and gonna try that sun-dry, wrapping thing w/UB but need better instructions than what have found thus far. Also, sun in late summer here is not as hot as in Urfa. Just wish I could get at them all, but were producing pods a month ago. It can wait until weekend or when I can get in that harder-to-get-to garden-if-foot-messed-up. If you can find anything about the "undercover" reality of UrfaB processing, shoot me a message, please! (Pretty sure not wrapping at night with Saran.) Thanks Rick!

Greg, take a look at that last pic, if you would; you sent Red MoA seeds and I swear it doesn't look like a Red Shroom. That look like Red MoA to you? And your description of JPGS is spot on  .  Gonna start calling it "Mean Ole Man." Thanks for stopping in! ;)

Wow, Annie's back! Sorry to hear about your foot, glad your doing better already. How are the maters performing for you?

I did not know you had an green phenotype Pimenta Lisa going, Annie. I got 1 plant of it myself but the pods look very different then yours. It hasn't start to ripen of yet so I don't know if that's an ripe pod for sure. It looks Yellow to me on the picture, correct? In case of doubt I would leave for a while till it gets soft to be sure. Very happy to see the Harolds St. Bart x West Indies Hab is putting out huge pods again, your gonna like that one. Very prolific and tasty. The Choc Hand Grenade looks way of, not the desired phenotype and pale green (maybe the light on the pod) to me.

Just keep those pod pictures coming, your further ahead then me and I need my fix :)

That's a great bunch of pod  pics, Annie. Quite the proof the Pod gods have had your back while foot-in-firmed.
I haven't even thought about Hassleblad since teenage, 35mm, SLR, photo processing, days. Good stuff, but broke.
A pod reconnaissance drone/'bot would be a boon to pepperheads everywhere.

Very nice Annie!

Poddage galore!

Do they have you in a shoe or a cast? Ice helps a great deal if you can use it. I had my foot surgically broken in '96, and they said 8 weeks I made back to work in 7 because I stayed off it ;) <----hear what I'm sayin'?

Take care!

Heck: let's have a contest and rename "Jay's" GScorps! Grumpy old man in top hat, bearded troll w/mushroom hat . . . poor ole "Jay" didn't count on us. Jim Duffy writes that not much is known about "Jay" so . . . (if any of you are "Jay," my sincerest apologies  )

Wow Annie all your peppers look incredible! Thanks for the pictures but stay off that dang foot! Mother nature is doing her job just fine outside in the garden, now take care of yourself.  Polar vortex next week and those plants will be loaded down with even more peppers.

Ah, Cappy! Thanks and that's just a few . . . after the mater mess yesterday. We're gonna probably have some bad storms on Tues. go into maybe low 60's at night here, but the NICE thing will be much lower dew point, giving them a September "urge" (unless we get golf-ball sized hail . . . and since am not in Kansas now, if go there, want to agree to go, given possibilities of severe weather ahead of cold front  ). Thank you for your concern relative to foot. (Really.) Am sure doc will express his in less friendly manner next week unless I can get deaf-mute person to drive me, emphasis on "mute." Besides, sat on my butt to take those pics. Yeah, friend dropping some tea by, so waited on him--he agreed--fussing at me--helped me up and down to get some picks: no way can squat--no, cossack squat-kick thing going on . . . I just don't think much of cold event aside from weather ahead of and behind it, as possibly "severe." Hope not: for everybody.

Stefan! Thanks! It's pretty orangish. I got no clue. But still hard, so . . . maybe it stays hard too? Hon, there are some on Choc HG plant that look more true to pic-shapes on your website, but on one's behind, kinda took what could reach. "Maters?" Great! Wow, really uh, great! Prolific. Thank you, dear!

Shoe, Scotty--torture device. First began as dominatrix type boot (kinda neat-kinky just to look at but painful to lug around)--rather had cast--and nurse have known forever was confused about why almost to knee. Then it dawned on her that my doc knew me. I laughed but also . . . called him at home one night: "least restrictive" is ethical practice. So, they had to give me the shorter boot. "Least restrictive." And yes, Pot, I hear what ya sayin.' Kettle wants to know how ya knee is AND who's pickin' pods today? Hmm? Thought so, Pot. Please take care of that! (We're both great at giving advice that neither of us heed. )

Hey Kettle,

Knee did good, on it three hours yesterday, no pain or additional swelling. Only a half hour in the garden today, picked and added nutes. Sitting here on my butt is just killing me! Not much to pick after hitting it everyday this week. Tomorrow will be a light day too. I am behaving, are you?

The shoe really is better, albeit kinky as you say ;)  At least you can ice down the foot, believe me a bucket full of ice water is your friend. I think I iced mine for a month after work everyday, because it will swell when you put full weight on it.

You may not heed, but I continue to give it anyway ;)
