I am growing 8, F2 Superchile Hybrids, which are the children of F1 Superchile Hybrids that I grew last year. Six of the plants are exhibiting the exact characteristics of their parents, as the fruit and plants look the same, and the 1 pepper that I ate, tasted the same as the previous generation. One of the plants is also short and bushy, but has different color peppers, they are very pale, whitish with a little yellow. The other plant is very tall, with long Cayenne shaped pods, maturing a deep orange/red. I am saving seeds from all peppers. When I grow them next year, is there more of a chance of the next set of peppers having the same characteristics as the peppers that the seed was collected from, or will the outcomes be completely random and unpredictable?
