Harvest update:

First Hab harvest minus the first three that have been turned into poppers or sauce. http://www.thehotpepper.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/icon_wink.gif The first pods seem to be very inconsistent in shape. The unripe pods on the plants now seem to be following the lead of the lower left pods shape.

What would cause the first few pods on a plant to vary so much in shape?
Initial pods on a plant generally have an irregular shape to the following pods, this can be caused by the plant generating different plant 'hormones' for lack of a more scientific word that affect pod growth .. As the plant matures deeper into flowering more plant resources are put to the pods and they generally grow bigger and plumper. It can also be due to cooler weather of earlier pods leading into warmer weather of future pods etc ..

Those pods have a nice wrinkle to them, mine are generally very smooth pods with an occasional pimple here and there
