Apocalypse What?!

I bought Apocalypse Red seeds from Puckerbutt, and now that they are starting to product pods, I am most curious about what it is that I actually have.
 
There are 2 plants in particular that make me wonder, as they look very different from each other. One plant has these dark leaves, and the other has normal greed leaves.

This plant is also producing pods that look very different from each other. Check these out from the same plant...

The other plant is producing orange pods, but with the shape and size I was originally expecting, just not red. (Which is fine, I have an Apocalypse Orange!)

So, what do I really have here?
 
If I understand it right, the Puckerbutt seed stock came from an Italian pepper organization via Christopher Phillips.  He is one of my pepper folk heroes, so always quick to drop his name when he was involved in something so he will get word of mouth credit.  Puckerbutt wasn't sure what generation it was and guessed F5 or F6 when they offered it for sale.  I have to figure they took a guess after seeing it was not 100% stable.  So I am going with you got exactly what they advertised: A new pepper that is not completely stable.

You should use the photos at the Puckerbutt site to help you selectively seed save and move it more towards stability.  That is one of the great parts about all these new peppers.  Its almost like crowd sourcing stability.
 
 
The first one looks along the Butch-T strains. I think no matter what, you probably got some good hot peppers. Better than bell peppers
