The Sandwich of the Month thread is focusing on the Cuban sandwich this month, but there's much more to Cuban food than just that. If you guys want a regional cuisine TD... that's one we haven't explored yet.

And I don't think we've done anything South American. Maybe pick a specific country like Ecuador or Brazil, etc. that we can all focus on.

If we were doing a Cuban TD, I'd tell you right now exactly what I'm fixin'.

Picadillo.

No artisan style.

No foo foo.

Just plain old good Cuban soul food.

BANG!

I think Caribbean broadens the subject matter too much. I think a more specific target to aim for is what more people are looking for in these TD's.

Now, if you want to have access to any and all Caribbean flavors, you could call it a Floribbean TD, but Floribbean is still kind of ill-defined. I know it when I see it, but I can't spell it out specifically for you.

It's been proven you can't screw sum with meat... or veg. So we're all screwed anyway. Wait... fish!

That's a good idea, Fish. But not one that we have to catch ourselves, right?
Fresh King's are on sale right now for $9.99/lb.

BOOYA!

I would love to do a fish TD, but I'm pretty sure I'll be fishing during the next TD without web access. :mope:

I promise to take pics of some shore lunches for the drunken chef though.

I've been beaten in a seafood TD before. [Shaking fists in the air at P2K.] I still think this a great idea for a TD. Specific enough, yet open to any "style" you can think of.

Paulky said he would enter is it was worth his time and money. I wouldn't mind seeing him TD another seafood buffet lol.

Making it all seafood is a good idea too. Bacon can pretty much win anything. It always gets the ooohs and ahhhs like fireworks.

How about "The Amazon".

Ingredients?

Whatever pests inhabit your garden tomorrow.

Chocolate

Bacon.

Wine.

I can never remember what color wine goes with grasshoppers.... Blush? :banghead: .

I do miss P2K and his TD buffets.

Should we lean towards the Pescetarian dish just to try and draw him out?

For those of you whom don't like to do research... Pescetarian is seafood added to a vegetarian diet. Basically, any animal that needs to stay under water to "breathe" is fair game. Any animal that needs to come out of water to breathe air to stay alive is out. Veggies, fruits, nuts, grains, dairy products and eggs can also be used.

I think this could be a really good TD. Verdict?
