Amazing plants! Really healthy!
Are there some pubescens you would advice to grow for newbies or that seems to tolerate heat?
Thanks!
Until now the weather was not so hot but for a few days extreme heat has come and all Pubes drop all flowers.
I will take the conclusions at the end of the season.
Your Locoto look great, how can handle the heat?

Well, my locoto doesn't look that great... Healthy but far from perfectly green or vigorous (yours look surely better, just saying) but for sure is a nice producer... Also it has been colder than usual here (but it seems we'll get paid back). Furthermore Judy on her site says that Locato is great on all climates, i asked her too and she said that for heat Locato is her best bet for pubescens on hot places.
It seems that she's right. It also stopped to grow for a couple of months for a mistake (sun bathed too fast) and then got back... I gave to a friend a smaller plant and it made pods earlier, grew taller (but less dense) and he say that pods are a bit bigger. I need to visit his place.

So i'll ask you again at the end of season! :D

Nice flowers there! I haven't had any Pubescens throw any whiteish flowers yet this season, but my red manzano is about to flower soon. Are those red, orange, or yellow manzano with the white flowers?
This one is Yellow Manzano from Hogleg.
I have another Yellow Manzano from another source but this one have purple flowers .
Costarican Yellow Rocoto throws whiteish flowers too but not that white like Manzano.
Rocoto San Isidro should have whiteish flowers but my plant throw some purple like the rest of Pubes.

Nice looking plants.  I ended up planting 3 pubescens this year.  Hadn't grown any in a long time, figured I should try to give them a shot again.  Haven't had any pods set yet I don't think.  Hope its not too hot for them here this summer, the heat has been pretty high for where I live.
Thanks
Most of my Pubes dropped flowers now because is too hot.
Only Aji Oro continues to set pods now.
What varieties are you growing?

My yellow manzano does have flowers with some white in them, usually half purple half white approx. Not sure I've seen one with flowers as white as yours though, thats really cool!

Thanks for the answer H!
Now I hope to set some pods .
How is this one , can handle the heat?

The best pubescens grow on the forum, my friend!

After seeing your grow this season, I'm thinking of
Greatly expanding my pubescens section next year!
I'll have to find a few more spots with partial shade
to accommodate them.

I also want to grow more peruvian Aji Amarillos next
Season. Keep up the good work, buddy!

Yea, of the 4 I sent ya the yellow manzano prolly has the best heat tolerance.
Yellow Manzano dropped the first flowers but I have one pod from your Orange Rocoto.
