BBC Article On Peppers

The BBC just posted an article about peppers. It's a pretty interesting read. I figured you all might be interested in it.

The Capsicum Ustulatum in the scientific drawing looks a lot like a Bhut Jolokia...

Pretty cool, considering the drawing was done in the 1830's.

I like how in that article from the 1830s, they say "covered with irregular protuberances", when we just say bumps now. It sounds like they are describing a Bhut honestly, don't you think?

Loved these articles when I was a wildland firefighter we all ate hot peppers with every meal helped with joint pain from work and stomach issues from those M.R.E's we had to eat.

Thanks for sharing.  I had heard some of these findings but did not know peppers had such antimicrobial properties.
