BBM - worth adding to my list?

I have awesome seeds for the BBM from a buddy and am wondering whether I should grow them next season or wait another year (when I have more room)?  This season was my first growing from seed and I really dislike the floral flavor a lot of my peppers had (got a bunch of Butch T crosses from Junglerain) so I would like to stay clear from that taste next season.  I know the BBM is gnarly and pimpled out (qualities I adore) but I also heard it has a floral flavor.  Since I am only growing ~26 plants max, I need to grow strategically...

What are your experiences with it?  It is worth growing just for powder?  Thanks!

Brandon.

I only have 1 plant so I don't know if they all will be like the one I have, but I don't like the taste at all. The first pods were real bitter a and lacking in taste. They have improved a little, but bhutlahs are way better tasting. I may try them again, from another source and see if they taste better or just need to be tossed. I need to get some seeds from Troy. His primo is my favorite pepper. If he is happy with this new one, it must be better than what I got a hold of.
Big Black Momma cross between Naga and Douglah, where the Bhutlah is a bhut crossed with a Douglah

The seeds I have are from Troy's stock I'm told but that is what I've heard about the flavor. Not the best...

I am growing 1 bhutlah also just to see how hot it really is!

Flavor isin't bad i grew them this year.  Good heat i love the shapes on them.  one plant put out the long bumpy pods, and the other plant put out this short pods with tails.  Both very cool shapes.  I ate a whole pod in some beef pho and it was pretty tasty and hot.  I would recommend growing them at least once.  I might not grow them this coming summer but i will again in the future.  The pods take a long time to ripen too.

It's still unstable so shapes, heat, color can vary. I grew seeds from Troy and had a few plants from Duffy. I don't mind the flavor but it's not one I would call tasty. Not like the Primo. No idea about powder yet but pods that usually don't have great flavor work well for powder making. Especially if you smoke them. If you like big, gnarly and crazy hot then definitely grow. If you're looking mostly for taste you might want to skip this. There's a red and yellow but not sure how they taste. These will be in my grow for many years to come as I love big gnarly pods. One of the plants I grew had some of the most gnarly pods I've ever seen.

How you can eat a whole pod in hot soup is beyond me lol...your tolerance is much higher than mine.  I always put some superhot powder in mine and the hot water amps the heat up so much.   You're a brave guy!

my tolerance is high lol.  Theres a big green mama too, i got send a pod of it this year.  Might grow it out in the future.  I have the big red mama too

I looked that one up online.  Tasty peppers sells seeds...looks interesting.  Never had a green pod before.  How did it taste?
