What about prickly pear?
If I still lived in NM, I'd give it a shot. There are prickly pears growing freaking everywhere there. They are a major PITA to deal with though, because of all of the tiny spikes. We used to skin prickly pears, batter them, and deep fry them when we deep fried turkeys. Pretty good with a scoop of vanilla and some whipped cream on top.

I'd say guava would be good. I like a fruit with tartness for balance. Passion would be a bit too cloying I think. Citrus always works. I could see pomegranate working.
I'll probably go with guava, maybe I'll throw a few dragonfruit in the mix for good measure. They are dirt cheap at the international market by my house right now. My wife says durian, I say hellllllll nooooooo! I don't know how viets love durian, they are freaking disgusting.

Durian is pretty awful.

That stuff has no place in beer.  Tell your wife thanks but no thanks lol.
Lol, I've told her many times. She likes durian everything. She doesn't understand why I find it disgusting, and I don't understand how she loves it so much. Whole durian fruit aren't allowed in the house though, unless my in laws happen to be on this side of the country.

She's better than most half-time shows ...

Not my thing, but she's a pretty consummate entertainer ...

Yeah, a rarity, she's a pop star with actual talent (like in the 80s), used to play small clubs on the LES of NYC... she's not my thing but I know people that know her and she's pretty well respected unless you brush her off as a "Bieber" which she is not.
