Yeah, it has been for years. Most people use Serato though, since Pioneer now builds the soundcard for Serato into their mixers. A few folks still use Traktor, and bring their own cotroller.grantmichaels said:

Most legit clubs in DC have a DJM-900NXS and a pair of CDJ 2000's. That gear is usually beat up, mainly the crossfader on the mixer, which gets torn uo by the shitty hip hop DJs they have on the weekdays, that think they can scratch.
Hard to get into the whole thing without being able to mix/sync visuals anymore, for me ...

Like I said, some venues allow you to do it, many not. I produced 5 club specific promo DJ drops, for the resident DJs of a now defunct club in DC about 5 years ago. A good friend of mine was the resident DJ for the place on Saturday night, and they allowed him to DJ and mix video on their club projectors. Too bad that place closed, it was packed every night.
