Hey DJ What kind of music?
I mix and drink brew all the time, but it's like 80+ degrees tonight in my music room. No sense in turning on my AC though, since it's going to get cold outside again soon.grantmichaels said:haven't got buzzed and mixed in some years now ...
didn't get buzzed on alcohol back then ...
1200's are completely unforgiving. If some drunk person trips into the booth to hard, you are so screwed.grantmichaels said:Well, I would now, I just didn't then ...
I don't know if DIPA's would be "performance enhancing" for me haha ...
In fairness to myself, I was still using 1200's when I stopped ... which, I think you'll agree, are a lot less friendly when drunk, lol ...
Yeah, it has been for years. Most people use Serato though, since Pioneer now builds the soundcard for Serato into their mixers. A few folks still use Traktor, and bring their own cotroller.grantmichaels said:Is it cool to show up w/ Ableton yet?
It depends on the venue.grantmichaels said:Yeah ... do venues expose the lighting now via MIDI? ...
Like I said, some venues allow you to do it, many not. I produced 5 club specific promo DJ drops, for the resident DJs of a now defunct club in DC about 5 years ago. A good friend of mine was the resident DJ for the place on Saturday night, and they allowed him to DJ and mix video on their club projectors. Too bad that place closed, it was packed every night. The place was severely mismanaged.grantmichaels said:Hard to get into the whole thing without being able to mix/sync visuals anymore, for me ...
Played with ArKaos at all?
