Well, I would now, I just didn't then ...

I don't know if DIPA's would be "performance enhancing" for me haha ...

In fairness to myself, I was still using 1200's when I stopped ... which, I think you'll agree, are a lot less friendly when drunk, lol ...
1200's are completely unforgiving. If some drunk person trips into the booth to hard, you are so screwed.

Is it cool to show up w/ Ableton yet?
Yeah, it has been for years. Most people use Serato though, since Pioneer now builds the soundcard for Serato into their mixers. A few folks still use Traktor, and bring their own cotroller.

I love Ableton for Live home use/production, since I can plug the midi straight from my computer into my mixer, and program Ableton to respond exactly the way I want it function on my DJM.

I haven't spent much time the past few years, but I was working on a live pa for a while ... live, reason, auug motion synth, and aerodrums ...

There's a point in time, and when it comes, I might spend a little time doing my thing again for a little while ... old guy and all ...

Hard to get into the whole thing without being able to mix/sync visuals anymore, for me ...

Played with ArKaos at all?
Like I said, some venues allow you to do it, many not. I produced 5 club specific promo DJ drops, for the resident DJs of a now defunct club in DC about 5 years ago. A good friend of mine was the resident DJ for the place on Saturday night, and they allowed him to DJ and mix video on their club projectors. Too bad that place closed, it was packed every night. The place was severely mismanaged.
