Best tasting and producing green pepper????

Well there are two types of green chiles I like. the first being the NuMex chiles which are delicious roasted and have that "greenish" flavor. the second being fruity C. chinense's that are especially fruity when green. another noticeable quality is the C. chinense ones are usually a lot hotter.

I grow mostly Anaheim crosses, Jalapeños and Caribbean Red for picking green. all are great in salsas and green sauces.

Serranos are fairly hot and have a taste that resembles a hotter jalapeno.. And boy do they produce a TON of pods per plant. I harvested hundreds upon hundreds on a mere 4 plants last year. Anaheim's produce fewer pods but make up for it in size, and taste wonderful.

For me, it's a toss up between the Anaheim varieties and Jalapeno. This year, I'm growing Espanola Improved, Big Jim,and Chimayo to see which of these Anaheim varieties I like the best...

Jalapenos are always a winner. We also love garden salsa (they are warm though), and I recently had my first Poblano. I really liked the taste of it.

I have to agree with jalapenos, serranos, poblanos and NuMex/Anaheim types. I still usually prefer any of them ripe red but the green taste is very different and the textures are crunchier when fresh. Just make sure to pick the pod when they are mature green if you want good green flavor

Not a big fan of eating green pods. I let all of my peppers turn red before eating. I don't like the taste of green jalapenos BUT I really enjoy them when they ripen to a cherry red. Completely different flavor.

Thanks guys,
I was wanting to find a good producer and also a pepper with a great taste and a bit of heat like a jalapeno
for a Thai seafood dipping sauce, which also has garlic, lemon and coriander
ok so now which strain of Jalapeno and/or Poblano produces the most?

I grew some Caribbean reds last year and they had a great fruity taste and there was heaps of pods on the plants, but I didn't try any unripe pods
