Hello everybody! I'm late again to the adventures of pepper growing. Seeds didn't hit the towel until March 6, so I have some still below, some hooks, and some little plants. Not too much to look at right now but how about a growlist.

Lots of crosses, purples, & BBG. I also air layered a clone from the Caramel Cinder F2 last year (with the help of pepper-guru...thanks, Rich) and it's been in stasis until recently. Just starting new growth and already set a pod.

The 'orange is a beautiful plant with deep purple leaves, which is experiencing a really nice growth spurt. It was really slow to germ, one of the very last, but is determined to catch up. I'll try to remember to post a pic...

That's fantastic, Scott! Thank you for growing them both! I'm excited to see how they do in different climates. They're lovin' yours down south.
 
I have some 7 Pot Cinder Caramel started that I got from Devv. Is that the 'Cinder' being mentioned here? What's the story behind it?

Yes, that's the cross I created back in 2015. It's a cross between Big Black Mama x 7 Pot Madballz. I grew a caramel 7 Pot Madballz from seeds that I harvested out of pods from 96strat. I got the BBM seeds from Troy Primeaux. I made the cross in 2015, grew out F1 in '16 and F2 last year. I grew 8 plants last year and had 7 chocolate and 1 caramel. I isolated seed for the caramel and passed out some OP seeds. Here are a couple links to some reviews.

"Yum!" or "Whew!" or, well, I don't know, but it certainly sounds like an awesome pepper. Just checked and I have six seedlings going.

So my Biker Billy Jalapeño has edema. I wait until it sags a little before I water. I have a fan blowing on all of them. I don't know. I guess I'm not too worried about it. But now it has leaf curl. I wonder if that's from the edema. Plus, that plant is only a month old and has buds already.

That's about all the excitement around here. Things are growing slowly but surely. Here's what they look like today.

But that Peach Clavo x Pink Tiger is still alive...and the new seed germinated. Lol. I usually get the first seed to germinate after I've started a second. Lol
