Looking to try and duplicate Blairs Q-Heat Chipotle Slam. I love this sauce and it seems to be discontinued or something cause every place online says out of stock. When I have this stuff I go through it too fast anyway and want to be able to have a lot on hand. If I'm successful in even getting close to the same style but off on exact flavor I'm not going to be upset.
Never made a sauce before and don't do any complicated cooking so I'm brand new to what it takes to get a good tasting sauce. I read the intro stickies and am aware of the bottling techniques and ph levels needed.
Here is the ingredients list:
1.First question I have, Is it realistic for me to expect good tasting results if I've never made a sauce before?
2.Where should i start out for figuring the proportions
3.Should I be blending the entire thing and then cooking? or Would I have to do it in stages
4.As for the "spices" ingredient it looks like they've a few spices already, what else could be in that they don't have to list?
