pics Blue Peppers

Back in the 80's my neighbor in Tucson had a plant that he called an easter egg pepper. I remember it put out all sorts of different pastel colors. I remember all sorts of white, pink, purple, blue, orange, red, yellow, etc. They didn't look like food to me.

I agree some ornamental don't look like they are food , or for just ornamental purposes.
I know there's ones for different holidays like Easter
But they are edible
I think these are the Christmas ones because they have some green and peppers turn Red🍒 when berries mature

We will have to wait and see
Stay tuned..

The weed is blocking the light from the Filius Blue
pepper seedlings😨

Guess I have work to do.

I like to let my weeds develop some roots, so they can put up a fight, when I pull them out.
This opens the soil for more water to reach the seedlings roots.

You can also drop a new pepper seed where you pulled out the weed.🤓

Now we can look at the
baby blues

As far as I know, there are no blue chili peppers. Purple exists, rarely as the color of the final stage (for example Pimenta da Neyde) as a mutation due to the lack of degradation of the anthocyanins upon maturation. Usually, purple is quite common as a color in the intermediate stage.

Filius Blu chili peppers are red. They are purple in the previous stage. The blue name is for commercial purposes... and so are the photos. Better you know now before starting the project 🙂
What about C. regale?

That would have been

What I would ask, if the seeds were available.
I'm not going to be looking for them in the wild.
No "side" missions
Thanks @SatanicFlatIron 😅
If I had these I would be asking..
Will it cross with my peppers?

Thanks for sharing, this rare pepper @Karpasruuti
