Bodeen's 2012 Grow Log - THE END!!!!!

Anxious to get dirt under my nails, so I might as well start this thing off.

Got an unfinished basement that is mainly storage. It has an old 1957 bathroom in it. I tore that out today and will be using that as my grow room as soon as I get it done. It is small enough a small heater will keep my temps in check. (Pictures of progress will come once I get it looking better lol)

Last year I built a grow table and this year I am putting up a shelving unit with grow lights on many of the shelves.

My one garden area that will be expanded on this year I believe. 40x30

My other garden which is longer, but not as wide.

Then I put this row in last year and my thoughts we strawberries, but it might be a row of peppers.

Ugggh

My motto is Rabbit eats garden, Gardener eats rabbit. They are the reason I have to fence the gardens

I also plan on doing some peppers in pots this year.

My tray of peppers last year went 71 out of 72 popped. Hope I can get these results this year.

That's a nice well rounded growlist! A little bit of everything.

Love your garden space too! I'm a bit space challenged, and my growlist is way bigger than last year's, so it will be interesting to see if I'm able to find room for them all.

I guess I am going to have to have a bigger garden with all these peppers. I had to have a dozer in anyway to put in my new garage for fishing, so I had some trees removed to expand the one garden.


Doesn't look like it, but there are 6 trees in this pile that I need to get cut up for firewood.

Well, here are the photos of the build. It wasn't too bad of a build. Still need to put in the trim, and put in the drop ceiling.

Entrance to the old bathroom/storage room.

Water heater, under the mirror was the old sink that was previously removed. The two wooden boards on the wall held a towel machine. From the toilet paper roll on the wall, you can tell where the toilet set. It was previously removed as well.

The old shower head.

The old closet.

The tub put to good use.

Where the sink sat.

Same thing happened to me. Just went away for an hour to some other glogs and forums and then came back, and I could add a new post. I wonder what the pic limit is in a post?? It would be nice to know to avoid the 'links of death.'

Removing 1957 linoleum from the wall.

They had the electrical outlets just hooked into drywall.

What a mess.

This is all the pictures so far. Still need to sand, varnish the wood, put up the trim, and put in the drop ceiling. Hopefully this week I get the shelving units put together with the grow lights added.
