I had a bucket of bedbugs last night freshly imported from LA.  I shudder to think how much I overpaid looking at that spread, but they were damn good.

And that is a direct quote!

Okay Phil, Let's throw a grill into this boiling thread.

Veggies boiled in Zatarain's Extra spicy until soft.

This stuff if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Then lightly coated with canola oil and tossed on the grill for the crunch.

Best grilled steak fries I've had in a while. Great flavor but next time more spice. I used about 1/3 cup in about 6 cups of water to boil them.

Chicken not pictured since it wasn't hot.

Wait.. That picture is AFTER you ate? Whoa...

I like how there's links and shrooms and shit in there ...

I have to say, I think about that cook about every three months ...

I sometimes run into the stuff on Goldbely, too:

But I would probably just source the mudbugs and then process out the corn and shit from the grocery store ...

It's happening ... next time there's a critical concentration of family around, or maybe for a work gathering ...

Sorry I missed this conversation yesterday... my laptop is kaput due to beverage spillage Saturday night. GM, mudbugs are plenty easy enough to find online (when in season... not now) and have them overnighted to you. One sack is usually between 35-40 lbs. consider between 3 to 5 lbs per person, not counting the potatoes, boudin and other fixin's. Let me know when you're ready to put that new pot and burner to use and I'll help walk you through it. Super easy.

Now I want some boiled seafood... lol

Phil does these cooks on special occasions too, like Tuesday.

Only on days that end in "y"
