food-bev Bottle Caps

There's this bar that I try and make it to for football games for just because of something they call "Bottle Caps"
http://www.countrysidesaloon.com/food/
"Bottle Caps - fresh jalapeno peppers, sliced, battered, fried, and served with ranch dressing for dipping"

Has anyone tried do something like this at home? I need to try it soon, and maybe with something aside from just jalapeno's... they are awesome with beer.

Kinda sounds like deep fried poppers but sliced but im still interested and who doesn't love poppers. I went out for pub food today so it makes me wanna try this out even more. :)

I think Red Robin has something similar. You should be able to use a tempura batter and a deep pot with a little oil (like 1-2" in a 6" pot). The other way would be to egg wash and bread with seasoned crumbs like Panko, deep fry the same way.
