Bottle Labels...Stuff...?

I want to play around with making labels for my home brewed sauces. Is there a program for amateurs that I need to use? Any other helpful advice, or links to useful websites would be greatly appreciated. Just what I need, another hobby! Thanks.

i've just used the microsoft publisher program in the past. nothing fancy, but it's fairly easy to use.

Avery free label templates and MSWord.  Can't get much simpler than that.

I've used Photoshop and photo paper in the past, no fancy labels. As simple as my art projects have been (mostly cut & paste + some text) MS Paint would have worked even.  
 
Just used a little crazy glue to get the paper on the bottle after printing.
 
If you have printable labels they should have a link on the package to the appropriate template for the size.
