They are close enough as it is in my opinion, but it depends on your what you're intentions or expectations are with the cross. I'd prefer spending my time on a more unique cross personally rather than just taking 2 same colored super hotties and hoping to somehow make them hotter or different
I would try crossing a Brain Strain with a Pimenta de Neyde.
If it was successfull and any of the F1 generation pods didn't change color then I would backcross it with the Brain Strain to try and maintain the full heat and looks while maintaining the Neyde's color.
That would be sweet
Probaly it would take more than a single cross with Pimenta de Neyde to maintain the color...
That would mean a lot more backcrosses to maintain the heat and the look of the Brain Strain
Then again I'm a mathematician so I know very little about plants
