He has with him a wood saw.
There is a table in two pieces in the middle of the floor.

How did he get out ?

he cut his way out of the concrete box and i think your pal fed might have had to much sammy adams if that broken glass is in the puddle and he is dead.

(think outside the box [mind the pun] as the answer is more obvious to a child, which i have tested and sure enough a room full of adult and the 12yr old got it straight away)
