Brown Recluse up close

I took these photographs of a brown recluse spider up close. We find these everywhere in our house in North Texas. Not a spider you want to get bit by. Its not really fatal, few if anyone dies from a bite, but the bite does rot the flesh away and will leave lots of bad memories.

Seriously ugly IMO...someone in my area supposedly died from a brown recluse bite a few years ago, but I've also heard they aren't usually fatal - just extremely painful (and of course, rotting flesh)...

Did you pet it? LOL. We call them violin spiders in my area. I also know of someone who died from its bite. I love the close up of its beard! I wonder if it gets food on it?

I loathe spiders of any sort.

Stupid me though.

I cleared out a brush pile close to the house and killed about a dozen large adult wolf spiders.

Stupid.

The wolfie's kill the recluse's from what I hear.

Dadgum recluse's like to be liking my garage.

About once a month I yank everything out of it and frag it.

Keep charlie out before he gets burrowed in and inside the perimeter wire.

How do you get that close with out killing it! KILLKILLKILLDIEDIEDIEFIDDLERS. We have lots of that in our house. Open the wall and you will find their little exoskeletons everywhere. I am always careful when I move boxes or anything that have been sitting for a while.
