Intending to start 64 cells this weekend (a couple of weeks late).  Will put 2-3 seeds in each cell and see what happens.  Here's what I think I will start with (number of cells):

Pr0digal_son sent me some very interesting Rocoto and Manzano seeds today.  I may have to add a few more to the list . . . we'll see what the next week has in store.

3/15/2014 Update:

overall germination rate at 78%. I've done better in the past, but what the heck. I visited my seedlings last night the for the 1st time since last Sunday. Had quite a few completely dty cells -a few of which had previously germinated and were now dead. Not surprisingly, most of the seeds that did not germinate were in the dry cells. This will be an ongoing challenge as I will only be able to tend to them on the weekends. I'll try to post some pictures later on today/tommorow. Anyway, here's what I have:

The bad news is . . .  I'm 2-3 weeks behind schedule and I can only visit my plants on the weekends - leaving me with 2 options; they completely dry out or I over water.  The good news is . . .  I'll just order what ever pods I need from Judy!

I feel your pain buddy. I am forever overwatering before trips out of town. It beats the alternative though. Your generosity has not gone unnoticed. I'm sure you will have no shortage of pods no matter what happens.

Why not have a friend stop in now and then when you're away? Like one would if they had a cat or a dog. I'm in the same position and have had a relative stop in now and then. They did over-water at first but with better instructions we're on the right path now. Hope it works out for you, you got a great list going!

3 more popped in Tray #1: Primo X Chocolate Habanero, Bhut Jolokia X Douglah Brown, and Bhut Jolokia X Douglah Red. Brings Tray #1 germination rate to 87.5% and overall germination rate to 93%.

Thanks for the kind words and glad that you liked the BBQ sauce.  I'm a bit worried about the seedlings - have some leaves dropping - never had that before.  Oh well, I'll do whatever I can . . .  plus, there's always Judy at the end of the year

Where you from buddy? Cold temps make my garage a not so friendly spot for my seedlings but almost 80% germ still. my bhutlahs were actually first to come in which was strange.
