Evan and I are heading out tomorrow on a road trip to the California Hot Sauce Expo in Long Beach!

I'm still not done packaging and labeling, might end up doing that on the road, but the critical stuff is done.

Pure Evil FROSTING instead!  I couldnt' bear baking 3 batches of brownies at about an hour each in the 95F kitchen....Plan C instead~

I'll try not to bore everyone with pictures of every Subway meal, but hope to have lots of pics from the event and the food challenges to post.

Brownies?  Those sound good!

I just gave a tablespoon of ghost powder to a co-worker who is going to use it when making some brownies.

Looks awesome.  I already have ideas brewing for using the frosting to decorate a cake with chili-peppers.  Making the peppers actually spicy.

ooo.  Thanks for the ideas.

We're right on time....about an hour late leaving.  and more stops before actuall getting the miles rolling.

Thanks for the well wishes, can't wait to meet everyone,

AldenMiller- chile or spicy brownies are awesome!
V-Vex- perfect combo.  Yum!

catch up to ya later~

First day is DONE!  FINALLY!

after waking up late, doing paperwork, loading up the work truck, packing clothes, packing hot stuff, load up the cooler, drive the truck to the job site, do a walk through with the employee, remembered I forgot my drugs (insulin), the kid said he for got his shoes (yes, he actually forgot his SHOES!), waited for the tire place to rotate the tires, wait for John to bring the drugs and shoes up to town, wait for Evan to come pick me up at the job site....

WooHoo!  On the road at the crack of 11:00am!

HORRIBLE traffic through Seattle.  It took us 4 1/2 hours to get from north Seattle to Lacey, about 71 miles.  470 miles today at an average of 44 mph.  Honestly, I can't remember being in as bad of traffic as that for as long as that.

But Today is done!  Wine in the plastic motel cup, pizza on order, It's all Good!  Tomorrow will be much better.  :)

Thanks, Hogleg~  We'll give you a Salud when running through your neck o' the woods.  Might even crack a beer in your honor if the 'Kid is driving. ;)

We're here!
Made it to Woodland just before Sacramento and grabbed a room late this afternoon.  502 miles, average 69 miles an hour :woohoo:

Quick dip in the pool, caught a few rays, dinner at a local Mexican place (diablo camarones), and a movie (Terminator Genesys).  Back to the room by 10:00.

We needed this little break, one more push tomorrow and it's LA on the Bay!

I'm glad you're road trippin. Have a blast and be safe. I wanted to fly down and meet my brother at the expo, but it wasn't in the cards this year.

I just got called in for a training on Saturday, so it looks like Sunday for me. Hope they're are some goodies still left.

SL3- I'm sure there will be lots of goodies.  Most vendors know what to bring, but this is a new show, not really sure how many to plan on.

Found another mexican restaurant for dinner, pretty much the only non-$$$$ close to the motel.  But they did serve TORTILLA CHIPS with salsa.
