Capsidadburn grow 2012

Outside in my backyard are the remains of my 2011 season carcass sprawling all over the backyard. It is ugly! It needs to be reanimated and made ready for my 2012 season within 2 months.

Inside of course the season has began all over again. I am very pleased to say that I am only germinating 36 variety's so far this year. That is down 75 from last year. Pending some trades arrival from Finland, (7 more), that will be all. I have managed to keep myself out of the marketplace where the seeds tend to flow like white water rapids.

Here is my germ list for 2012;

Wow Mike you really have it going on. Your pornage is unbelievable. Looks like you will be up to your knee's in powders and sauces.Can't wait to see the white 7 pods turn out!

Thanks Jamie! I too will be watching the color. I am fairly certain they don't go much beyound the light green color, but not sure. Hopefully they will! I have to thank Eric for the gift of these too.

Thanks to either menotume or Buck77 for hooking me up! And thanks to Chris (cmpman) for creating/discovering these!

Mine are finally podding up, so we'll have something to compare. Yours look to be getting a decent size already!

Pinoypride83, I like these alot too. I have a couple cats so I do not have as much a bird problem as I could. I have had it in the past. I got seeds for these from pods I bought at the Hilo farmer's market. I made the mistake of eating a whole one and ten minutes later taking a helicopter tour. "Damn tourist"! It was an unnerving ride for 50 minutes.

Just checked out your glog. Great pictures, and interesting grow list! Nice to see some of the less common varieties.

i should get a cat but hate them a lot because of there fur...did u check the volcano down there...theyre nice

Pinoypride, I did see the volcano. I especially enjoyed walking in the old lave tube, and the eco system right in front of it.

ill try to go back there this coming december with my gf..she got relatives at hilo...hopefully my manager will let me go for a whole month lol...try visiting oahu, and do some hiking there fun theres tons of places to hike here, the best one is koko head its a 1000steps to go up and its like 90degrees angle so u will feel the burn later and the stairway to heaven is straight up hike but i think they closed it because people fell of and died

Well I am back from that brief but visually painful detour in my grow log! (The guy in the helicopter)

I have some more pics if you can stand it...
Here is the "Scopion like Scotch Bonnets" I got from Gary (Windchicken) Just starting to make pods. two pics;

A nice view of the beauty that the Tshololo plant can bring. I would guess this is a cross between PDN and a Red Murupi. The pods are purple/green early and ripen to red. Shaped like Murupi. These two plant volunteered to come back for another try.

And some 1st year baby Douglah's on their way. EDIT; Not Douglah's but a cross

Have a great weekend!

Your photos have been on point for the past few updates! Tons of pods=jealous growers!! Keep em coming so I can :drool: until mine come in!

Thanks Pinoypride and MGold! I will do my best. I am fortunate to be having a great year. Perhaps a reversal of fortune from last year. I believe everybody is doing better this year.

Mike

I haven't grown a Fatalii in a couple years so getting pods on a 1st year is nice. Looking forward to the unique taste they bring.

Tried this Maule's Red hot from Beth. Having a few bug eating holes problems in the ripening pod.

A Douglah cross from last year. Appears to be crossed with a scotch bonnet. Parent plant. Have a dozen f1's doing well. These were carmel colored last year and the inside walls were yellowish and coated with oil. Very tasty and Super hot. 2 pics;

You've got some serious growth there, Mike! Looks great.

And you're right. It is very un-June-like right now. Warm, but not scorching hot. I now have fruit on every one of my potted plants (minus the two "rescues" from the backyard bed).

That has never happened to me. A great year for growing. Or just generally being outdoors. :)
