Catterpillars. How to Exterminate???

Caterpillars are eating my plants. This means total war. The attack on my Rhodian Red will never be forgotten or forgiven.

I am must meet the threat with determination to insure that humans, not insects, will eat and enjoy chilli peppers now and always. It is time to seek, locate and EXTERMINATE!!!

I have lost about two dozen seedlings. Trust me, you don't want the casualty list... The threat has been identified as caterpillars, I have already exterminated about a dozen of them. So, what can I do to eradicate, obliterate, annihilate them?

Both synthetic and natural options are welcome.


One option is Decis 25EC by Bayer. Is it any good?

If it's definitely caterpillars, dipel dust or thuricide spray are good options. Both contain the same Bt bacteria that only affects caterpillars.

I just bought some Diatomaceous Earth, and lightly sprinkled it around the base of my plants.

Although Diatomaceous Earth is completely natural, some people find in controversial since it affects all insects that contact it. So you may want to Google the pros and cons of this approach before using it.
