Chilidude season 2018

Last year was pretty much a disaster, the summer turned out to be a very cold and sunless thing, so i didnt get much of anything to eat and all my efforts did go to waste.
 
But i am willing to try again growing those chilis, so i am not giving up so easy.
 
I got two last year fully grown Hot paper lanterns, so they should produce some even if the summer is not so perfect, also will grow these from seeds:
 
 
Naga morich.
Bonda ma jacques.
Petenero.
Aji golden.
Aji erotica.(baccatum erotica)
Lemon drop.
Aji crystal.
Aji pineapple.
Queen laurie.
Locato.
 
This time around pretty safe chilis to survive cooler climates in my opinion, inside my greenhouse.

I was planning on running two aji plants (they're currenty tiny seedlings) in my 80*80*160 grow tent but I'm wondering if they'll be smoshed together even with "only" 4l of growth substrate as most aji plants seem pretty tall and wide.

Aji plants are always super happy and easy to grow even if the season is not that good. Did grow few Aji plants in 6 litre air-pots and they did ok. I always top my Aji plants because they grow so fast while staying quite "compact", but you can always trim the stems if they grow too big for you liking.

Forecast looks mighty fine to me in the coming weeks. Night temps are starting to get between 15-18c and the plants have still plenty of time to grow pretty big to take over the whole greenhouse.. I really dont need that much pods in the end, but i will take all i can get out of those plants. I am already thinking what plants i will grow next year, perhaps growing more of those milder Aji plants that i can eat straight from the bush.

Baccatum flowers are pretty yes, but i must say the Capsicum pubescens species have the most prettiest flowers i have ever seen.
 
Temps have been really warm and we are just under 30c in the day time:
Did some switch and bait move for the chilis to allow the C.baccatums to have bit more shade and the c.chinence can now have most of the sunlight available during the day.

Aji cristal is the tallest one: 143cm, Aji golden: 122cm, Queen laurie: 109cm, Aji lemon drop: 100cm, Aji pineapple: 95cm, Aji erotica: 80cm, Bonda ma jaqcues: 72cm,  Naga morich: 56cm, Hot paper lantern: 56cm and Petenero: 53cm.
 
The c. chinense have long way to go if they want to get to the one metre height, but they are now growing pretty fast because day temps are high and the night temps are now also really warm.

My tallest is a Chocolate Reaper/Scorpion in the raised bed at ~39 inches, or about one meter.
 
Already had 20c in the morning outside, so the chilis are growing like mad:







 
and 30c during the daytime, i am pretty much melting here and the freaking chilis are so picky about the weather that they are not currently doing much pods at all. :pray:
 
I have not seen much insects in my greenhouse to pollunate the flowers, maybe i will have to put some flowers inside the greenhouse to bring them in but before that i will try to use a fan to blow some cool breeze inside the greenhouse.

Had a good sized high speed fan just collecting dust in the closed, it is now blowing inside the greenhouse to move the hot air. I will also go and buy few Lavender plants to put in my herb growing place to hopefully attract some bees to pollunate the chilis.
