1st a Big Welcome Back to The Spoon Of DoOom from its months of hibernation and into sauces and 1st Sauce of the Year “Habanero Gourmet Chilli Sauce” from Damon and Danny at www.hotranga.com up in QLD. have tested the other 2 of theirs last season with my lovely fiancée Georgina
met the guys at the Royal Easter Show earlier this year when went down to see Marcel's stall and went for a wander they showed me their new sauce and said would give it a go when winter came..
So here it is..
Ingredients:
Water
Onion
Raw Sugar
Habanero's 15%
Vinegar
Ginger
Garlic
Tomato
Fine Salt
Black Pepper
Cinnamon
Vegetable Gum
What’s it like ?
How Hot is it?
Instant YUM and a nice sweet taste that’s a mix of tomato, onion but blended together, then a nice Hab flavor comes then ya get the garlic/ ginger tinge and then its Just beautiful and the flavour stays for Ages
the heat hits at the back of the throat and top palate then moves to an all over burn, not over the top but a decent burn that goes for over 5 min till settles in the lips and the rest of the mouth has a light glow
