Concert talk - who was your first? Favorite?

Wow, this starts some memories rolling. I have to state that there is, well to me anyways, a difference between a Concert and a Show. That said I saw several shows, The Carpenters, Johnny Cash and some others back in the 60's, before I ever saw my first Concert. My first consert was the Beach Boys, 1975 in the Kingdome in Seattle, WA.

The best concert though, man, there are 2 that really stand out. The first was the ELO tour in 1978. This was the tour where they had the Flying Saucer. Saw them at the Kingdome too.

The other was The Wall, not the original 80 - 81 tour but when the Berlin Wall fell in 1990 Roger Williams who was no longer with the band put on a concert in an area that was part of the former buffer zone. I was station in Germany from 89 to 92 and it was heck getting permission to go but 5 of us did and it was truly an awe inspiring event. The video of the concert doesn't do it justice but is a great view. So I guess that would make this the best one then.

LDHS, you would be really surprised at what mine contains. I have influences that include:

Folk (The Limeliters, The New Cristy Minstrals, Kingston Trio, etc...)
Country(Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Travis Tritt, George Straight, etc...)
Rock (Aerosmith, The Grateful Dead, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Yes, Crosby Stills nash and Young, etc...)
Blues (B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Lee Hooker, Jeff Healey, Steve Miller, etc...)
Jazz (John Patitucci, David Sanborn, Earl Klugh, Synergy, etc...)
and other's like Dave Matthews, The Eagles, Metalica, Frank Sinatra, Glen Miller, Usher and a ton more.

My dad had a vast taste for music and loved many different styles and he passed that on to me. It was really cool once when I was on a road trip and had my IPod plugged in and in order was Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, Metalica and Frank Sinatra and each song was a perfect follow on for the last one. We all just sat there driving down the highway and when Frank finished we were all just wowed by it.
