I always make the same mistake, and I conflate Stone w/ Rogue ...
 
I actually like some of the Rogue bombers - Double Dead Guy, and some of the other bombers ...
 
I seem to lose the distinction of the two breweries and always end up buying a Stone after enough months, and then I'm like FFUUUUU when I realize ...
 
I did like their Chai stout, but that's one of the one beers that I like from them ...

Stone is 7 miles down the road from my house (with another 20 breweries or so within a 5 or 6 mile radius ). I agree about the Cali-Belgique and IMO Stone`s beers have stayed still while others have passed them over the last 7 or 8 years. They do have other offerings at the brewery, obviously. 
 
However, i would say the Ruination 2.0 is better than the original, IMO, and is very decent.

Ruination 2.0 is very good. Their other beers are meh to me but that one is good.


This is excellent. Not strong at 4.5, but smells amazing and taste great.

Has galaxy written on top if the can. Not sure it's eluding to the hops, but if that's what they used, I definitely need to try them.

"Rudie is the first new mainstay to be added to Ska’s portfolio since the death of Ten Pin Porter (RIP). The beer weighs in at 4.5% alcohol by volume and is brewed with El Dorado and Galaxy Hops in quantities more typical of an American IPA than a session beer."
 
I got no qualms with session IPAs, i'm reallly enjoying the slow ride. 
 
Zorg is galaxy ;)

I'm tasting it daily while it's on the dry hops ...

They are a calming down to be really nice ...

Day one and two after dry hops were a little bit too intense, whereas the intense days of citra were to die for ...

Use the Galaxy a little bit more metered than Citra, but it's a good hop flavor ...

Rip Current brewing has a lovely IPA called Lupulin Lust and at the brewery a few weeks ago they had a version brewed with Brettanomyces. Holy shit!!!!!

That lupine lust did sound right up my alley.  My favorite IPA is 3 floyds zombie dust and for APA it's 3 floyds alpha king with hopalicious being a close runner up.. though alpha king and hopalicious couldn't be more different from eachother.

This is Caught in a Rip Current triple IPA. It`s my favourite triple IPA of all. Most tend towards too much malt for my tastes, which I realise is kinda sorta needed, but this one has a far better malt/hop balance for my palate. This specific version at the brewery was 15.2%

This dudes review.. someone sounded a little salty "Really booze booze booze, aroma of bike tire and lemon zest. Flavor of more booze than anything else. If you like alcohol solvency you’ll love this brew. Just not for me" then again he's a boise broncos fan

that's a biggie, and JUST how i like my IPA's ...

my last IPA was a freeze-concentrated imperial upwards of 14% all said and done =)

looks great ...

I'm currently enjoying a biggie-sized Belgian IPA w/ a bunch of Galaxy late and dry-hopping ...

It's about 80-85% carbonated and the Galaxy is fading a bit, into a really nice beer ...
