No telling what that chocolate pod crossed with...or it could just be a chocolate hab or a natural mutation of an orange hab. As far as the stomach burn goes. I usually eat something like a PB&J sandwich before hand with a glass of milk and it seems to prevent it. When I feel the gut burn coming on I take some tums and try to down another glass of milk and/or eat something else. Ice cream would probably help, but unfortunately once you got it you're stuck with it for a while. Great reviews, try powdering those chocolate pods they are better that way.

Not a dud. That pod was not ripe, but they are still not hot. Ripe pods are bronze, caramel green, or slighr khaki. The plants are very cool looking, and pods are cool also. What makes it special is that it ripens green. Maybe only 3 or 4 other peppers that do that. If you are looking for heat or taste, this is not one to grow. Hope that helped you.

thanks shane.. i do usually eat before i dive into fresh pods... theres pods that give me a nice rush.. and theres some that make me rush to the bathroom and put me into fetal position...i tums it before i eat as well.. guess this last one just didnt want to agree with me completely...as for powdering... my pods this year doesnt allow me to powder... my humble harvest only allows me to make fresh salsa.. (jelly perhaps) or toss it in fresh with my meals...

thanks pr0digal...just sampled it for Fernando...i did find the unique taste interesting.. and shape and ripeness alone i would grow it as an ornamental....heat.. i know which ones are there for heat.. now flavor is the one im looking for.. definately love fataliis for sure.along with yellow 7....trying to get into the mix with flavorful without leaving the heat in it..

Nice review and an interesting pod for sure. Too bad it didn't have some better flavor. Maybe some later pods will flavor up better.

i hope so... i love the endorphin rush.. but i hate them gut killers...

thanks yeah, i've been around, just not the glog area too much... my garden back home is depressing (from what I understand) and my garden here just started (although its only going to be one awesome plant...).

i imagine its hard to judge on some of these varieties... only way to learn is by trial and error haha.

Shane is awesome  that will light some :onfire: hopefully you have invested in some baby wipes. The Scotch Bonnets look awesome I used a Tobango SB this weekend and stuff it with rice, bean, cheese, and wrap bacon came out awesome my family loved it not a spicy variety for a SB, but awesome flavor. Can not wait to see your list for the new season

You need to take a better pic...I'm pretty sure the second one from the bottom left and the one above it, then there looks like one toward the middle of the pack. There are some primos, 7's, devils tongues and paper lanterns scattered in there too.
