D3monic's 2015 Glog. Lots of Pods.

I had a great 2014 growing year and can't wait to get started on 2015. Had some issues with overwinters and aphids but I ditched them and nuked the basement. Here is last years Glog link
 
I just went through and cataloged my current seed list. Built up a bit of a collection over the course of the winter.

 Also doing a few Pineapple ground cherry tomato plants. Taste just like tiny pineapples and will be great for a salsa verde with ajis and maybe the bonda ma jacques

Plants got a full day of sun today. Really nice out. I did a bunch of weeding of the gardens and prepping some of the large pots outside. 
 

 

 
Goatsweed is going into the two blue pots. Hoping it will grow as tall as the arch. Fuck all those damn dandelions. 
 

 
Half barrel, not sure who's going into there. either large orange thai or fidalga roxa. Big enough I could do a tall plant in the center and several small ones around the perimeter.

Did some work in the growroom. Got the hydro going again. Moved white fatalii and the cgn 21500 into the DWC. Have room on left side to add two more plants with them and on the right it's set up to hold two plants. Will move them into there for crossing projects once my other plants get planted out here in a few weeks.

Nice! I can't wait, I been weeding the gardens and turning soil getting ready. Keeping an eye out. We been getting frost but the neighbors flowers are doing fine and so are my hostas and daylillies that are popping up.

You can say that again. I finally had to throw away some Scorp Butch Ts from a couple of years ago that got freezer burned. Got more than I have time to get to them all.
 
I did just that ...
 
A few years ago I grew like 200 types, and found that I really like about a half-dozen ...
 
I was supposed to just grow a half-dozen ea of those half-dozen this year, but there were so many NEW varieties that I ended up getting another ~50 to try ...
 
 
 
Maybe next year I'll execute my intentions correctly, LOL.
 
Lol, yea I'm sure there will be some new ones on my list to try next year or I can just trade pods with people that way I can taste them before I grow them

Yeah my grow this year is to try a lot of varieties to find out what I like best. Then next year I'll just grow a lot of fewer varieties, but still some new ones too.
I'm definitely going to be fermenting, pickling, making purée, jellies and glazes. I can't wait!!
 
Pods on Aji Crystal are coming along nicely
 

 
Plants are taking to the hydro system better than I thought they would. Expected them to get sad on me after switching from promix to the hydroton and water but I guess not yet. 
 

 
Plumbed my other two hydro buckets in, leaving them dry until I decide what plants are going into there. Debating on using one the fidalga roxas for the beautiful foliage. Either that or maybe one the pink tigers. Not sure on what else. 
 

 

 
That's all i got for an update so far. I'm off work tomorrow so will get to play around some more in the garden and stuff. 
 
I just put mine outside at 7am it was 38 degrees. Letting them get a lil taste of the cooler weather. Its supposed to warm up to almost 70. I have to keep a close eye on them though because the 3" pots dry out fast outside in the sun and they all get really wilty on me. I Just got off a 12hour overnight shift so i'm going to nap and check on them in a few hours.
