Damaged Fruit

Can someone please identify what is causing these cracks. I suspect that it may be caused by slugs, but perhaps variations in moisture levels.

On my Orange Habanero's most of the fruit have this damage and on some there are holes in the fruit, and inside those fruit are earwigs.

Variations in moisture levels. Heavy rains or too much watering will cause this cracking. Not a problem at all. Eat it and be merry.

it might be the heat is it very hot where you are.if not then its something else causing it.

I too thought it was slugs cause I found several slugs on some of my affected pods. Must have been a coincidence.

It is from too much rain/water. Alot of mine are doing the same after 4 straight days of rain then 90F heat.
