Dangler's Gonna Glog It

Never been good about this but going to give a Glog a try.  It's time to start seeds here in Kansas.  Some do it earlier ..... now is when I do it.  I've selected my seeds and divided them into Group A and Group B.
Group A will be started this weekend.  Group A includes most of my hotter varieties. 
I use the paper towel method to germinate seeds in lidded cups on temperature controlled heat mats.  Then I will transplant to 3.5" pots  .... more on this later.  I use T5 lighting systems.  Depending on the variety, I will ultimately look for 1X-4X starts.  I growout in 37 raised beds.  I grow as a hobby, to give away, small time sales and to process.

Damn ..... I love the smell of Alaska Fish Fert in the evening or anytime. Today was feeding day.  Brings back stinky memories of using shad sides for catfishing. Also, talk about cat catching (not fishing), reminds me of the time I was trying to catch the marauding possum in the "have-a-heart" trap and I caught all 3 of the wife's cats (multiple times) before I caught that sucker.  He was turned lose in Lawrence  :rolleyes: .
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Added to the inventory:  1 Habanero Big Sun, 3 Yellow Brainstrain, 1 Long Tall Sally, 2 7 Pot Brainstrain, 2 Aleppo, 1 Jalapeno Biker Billy.  That will give me 315 plants.  Are any of my Kansas brethren going to need to plants?   :rolleyes:
 
Full purple coloration on these guys .... I'm sure this is an indication of something but they look healthy.

Seems like it's taking forever to water the plants now.  We're at least a couple of weeks from hardening start and 3-4 weeks from plant out.  I added a few more late starts.  We're at 325 and holding.  Culling is going to be a chore.  
 
The tomato plants look good.  1-2 weeks from hardening start and 2-3 weeks from plant out on those guys.  
 
Wow! That's quite an inventory! Fantastic list! Lots of bonnets! A bunch of great supers. I didn't see any, but do you have any SB7J (Scotch Bonnet x 7 Pot Jonah) going this year? It's a favorite of mine (the pods in my avatar). If not, I can get some seeds to you for next season, if you need any.

Adam ..... Unfortunately, I think my SB7Js ended up on the non germination list.  If I recall correctly, I did have some seed and I think I tried to start them twice.  Must be bad seed.  I'll verify tonight.

Confirmed.  I tried to start some SB7J Yellows (the only seed I had) and got no germination in 2 tries.  I'd be happy to try some next year.  I'll send you a PM.

Right on.  I know where that is .... I used to fish in Wabigoon and Dinorwic.
