pod Datil Pods

Having never grown datil I was wondering do they start out looking like this.
Pics I have seen have the pods looking more habish and the datil plant I gave to my buddy is putting out pods more habish .
I don't know with seeds crossed or some other plant seeds just got mixed up with my datil seeds
My other plant is not near as big as this one with these pods ether .

Might be wrong but kinda looks like a fatalii. Looks like the fatalii I'm growing.

i think they could be datil.
 
i can't remember where i got my seeds, i know it was in a trade with a member and not a vendor but my plant gave me 2 types of pods. the first set of pods were small and kind of a corkscrew shape with no seeds, got about a dozen of them. the second round of pods delivered a tubular shape that contained seeds. yes, pods were yellow. but they definitely didn't produce a pod that resembled a fatalii, though many members have mentioned their datil have resembled fatalii. i did a google image search and sure enough pods vary greatly in shape and size.

I'm growing some this year that I got from minorcan datil peppers in st augustine,fl. my plants are still small with no pods yet. from what I know they look similar in shape to a fatali.
