Dear Scovie

False... we beat the Stealers 31-14... the refs absolutely sold that game to the stealers... if you dont remember go back and watch... the same ref on the otherside of the field called offensive pass interference twice... resulting in two of the Seahawks touchdowns being taken back... combine that with the fact that they gave the stealers a touchdown that was not a touchdown and you can see that it was a blowout... the Seahawks trashed the stealers.... many objective/neutral observers of that game agree.  One person i know who was a neutral spectator even commented that it was the worst officiating/cheating in any game of any sport he had ever seen in all of his 50 odd years.
YOU sir are 100% correct. That was the worst officiating, even after the ref strike and all of the High School refs filled in. Sad to say tho, that the records say 21-10 BOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am glad you remember it as it should have been tho.

I remember the utterly tortured look on Hasselbecks face as they were calling back their comeback drive with those ridiculous false starts... he was literally about to cry... so unfair....

That 05-06 team will forever be one of the greatest in my mind.... defensively and offensively...  hasselbeck throwing for 40 yards a pass and shaun alexander running for 25 a down, while tutupu and peterson and company pretty well draw a line in the sand that you will not cross.

Are you refering to the hail mary to golden tate?... i mean... thats literally what a hail mary is supposed to look like.... and although that probably was a bad call... if you think that was a bad call then you need to peep that Seahwaks Stealers game again...... that was a a tragedy(travesty) of judiciousness.... a satire of fairness.... a parody of justice

Not until you admit your precious Steelers fell face first into the Superbowl win like a drunken sailer finding water!

Not arguing with the poorly called superbowl.  It was painful to watch.  And yes, I am refering to the fail mary.  Aside from Seahwawks fans I don't know of anyone (experts or otherwise) that would have called that a touchdown.  And that isn't even refering to the pass interference, as like you said it is what a hail mary is supposed to look like.

The plus side of the fail mary is it ended the ref strike.   The NFL was in danger of losing all credibility with how poorly the games were being called.

This topic is probably a bad place to get justice - I suggest writing to the league, carefully explaining that they sent the rings to the wrong team.

(The non- call on the illegal block in the back on that return TD was pretty bad - it was glaringly obvious)

One bad call?

ONE bad call????

ONE bad call in favor of the Stealers maybe. MULTIPLES against the Seahawks. :flamethrower:
Funny - I don't see Niner fans still whining about the 3 non-calls for holding against the Ravens on that Jacoby Jones kick return TD that literally cost them the Super Bowl (presumably so Ray "captain stabbypants" Lewis could ride off into the sunset ala John "horse toothed jackass" Elway.)

And SheHawks fans call us the 40-whiners? Say WE live in the past?

The good news is the Seachickens will finally get a ring....just as soon as they step out of their bathtubs.

So glad I started this topic. Clearly there's some pent up football talk that, like Scovie in an SF nightclub on a fri night, needed to come out!

Its going to be a good game.  So is the peyton manning tom brady matchup.

But I cant wait for the Peyton Manning- Russel Wilson dual.  Im rooting for the broncos mainly because I want to see him do well after what happened to him with Indi, but also because there are three former UK players on the roster (important players too)!!! Danny Trevathan, Jacob Tamme, and Wesley Woodyard.  I hope they all have a great game but Seahawks pull out with the W.

I think instead of "since" you meant "until*"
